What makes me happy

Im thrilled when i get a 5 in school.
Im in the top of the world when somebody gets hurt in a funny way.
I jump for joy when somebody makes a good joke.
It makes my day when i see a great movie.
Im over the moon when i beat a record in 50 m swimming.
Im absolutely delighted when i get to sleep at least to 11 o'clock.
Im happy as a clam when somewone tells something nice to me.
I couldn't be happier when i would finish 9th garde with 5 and 4.

  1. Good job! And the expressions you have found are very cool! For the clam-expression, I had to find out more about it, and I discovered this page: http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/as-happy-as-a-clam.html. Interesting!

    Some things to improve:
    * The word 'am' is shortened to 'm. Example: I'm.
    * In sentence 2, the exact expression is 'be on the top of the word'. ON the top of the word.
    * '..sleep to 11 o'clock' - instead of 'to', 'until' should be used.
    * Check the spelling of the word 'keegi' in sentence 7 and 'hinne' in sentence 8.
    * In sentence 8, you need to put '5' and '4' into plural form, as it's in Estonian - "viite ja neljadega". For that, add 's' after both numbers.

  2. Tell me I'm wrong but in the last sentence you cannot use "would" after you've already used "couldn't". I'm too old to remember the exact rules but I think the correct form is "I couldn't be happier when I finish 9th grade with 5s and 4s."

    Cheers :)

  3. Thanks, Siim! From what I have Googled, what you're saying seems correct indeed! So, Ergo, you've got one more point to improve :)

PS Ergo, you are missing Task #4 http://tyhg-english-2014.blogspot.com/2010/10/task-4-my-cool-school-uniform_18.html
